FYSPRT stands for Family, Youth, System Partners Round Tables. We act as a sounding board for all the people involved in the care of young people who have developmental, emotional, and/or behavioral issues. We create spaces where opinions can be heard and ideas shared, resulting in better care for individuals and healthier communities.
Youth and family voices bring compassion, understanding and inspiration to busy service providers who are required to complete piles of paperwork and hours of data entry for the system. Sometimes service providers get overwhelmed with those details and need to hear what would be helpful for long term recovery. Your voices matter and this model provides a safe place for you to be heard. Help us move beyond treatment to resiliency and hope! Contact us at any time to voice your comments or concerns, or better yet, come to one of our meetings.
Salish FYSPRT is looking for Youth Tri-Leads! Anyone with lived personal experience under twenty-five can become a Youth Tri-Lead. Tri-Leads decide on the direct the FYSPRT goes and helps plan meetings. They receive a stipend for meetings they attend, along with travel and child care expenses. If you are interested in one of these positions, contact Jill McCormick for more information.
